I had PRK done on my right eye on wednesday. PRK is the alternative to LASIK. I was in for LASIK but the informed me that my cornea was too thin to withstand LASIK (due to them making a flap in the cornea for correction), so PRK was the procedure for me. The down side, Longer healing time, more pain. Boy howdy, were they right. Have you ever had a contact on and get something like an eyelash stuck underneath it? Imagine that 10x worse! On my dear god. And itchy. Here it is, day 4 and I was supposed to be back at work yesterday, and i can't see worth crap. I have perios where it does seem to be better, but then it glazes over again. And anytime I put drops in my eye, it feels like the bandage contact lens wiggles all over pulling on the incision. :( I go back Monday for a recheck and to remove the contact. I'm hoping for mild relief after that. fingers crossed. I keep telling myself, "it's all going to be worth it". Let's see.

It's all been a blur, so I'm not promising the accuracy of any of this
Monday:
Holy Canoli! I didn't realize this posted, it was just going to save! oh well
ReplyDeleteSo I don't remember much from my meals this week. I know Monday was business as usual. Some leftovers I think. Tuesday was also normal with a sleepover in Plano. Wednesday I didn't eat anything due to an ill tummy from sedation and pain. Thursday was lean. I know I cheated with a graham cracker from Ax but I don't remember eating much this day either because of the blinding (literally) pain. Friday was better. Some foods Mackey made me with a super cheat of ice cream!! Rocky Road! I set myself up for this with the lean days prior. But, it was nice to have a little cheat. Yesterday was lean because i didn't have much of an appetite. I had sauteed veggies and half a chicken breast for dinner. I'll do better now that I'm on the back side of the healing process!
